A great cover letter is short, specific, and shows you understand the role. Four tight paragraphs are enough.
Paragraph 1 — the hook. One sentence about why this specific company, one sentence about who you are.
Paragraph 2 — the proof. Pick one accomplishment from your resume that mirrors what they're hiring for and tell that story in three sentences.
Paragraph 3 — the fit. Show you've read the job description. Reference a specific responsibility and explain how you'd approach it.
Paragraph 4 — the ask. A one-line close inviting a conversation. Don't beg, don't oversell.
