Section-by-section fresher resume format
Header: full name, one target role title, city, one phone number, one professional email, and a LinkedIn or GitHub link. Nothing else.
Objective: two lines maximum. State your degree, your target role, and one thing you can already do well. Skip generic lines like 'seeking a challenging position'.
Education: degree, institution, graduation year, and CGPA or percentage if it is above 7.5/75%. Keep 10th and 12th to a single line each.
Projects: two to three entries. One line describing what it does, one to two bullets on your contribution and the tools, and a link if it is live or on GitHub.
Internships and training: same bullet style as experience — verb first, tools named, result quantified.
Skills: grouped and honest. Technical, tools, and languages. Only list what you can defend in an interview.
Mistakes that get fresher resumes rejected
Two-column templates with sidebars. They look modern in a design tool and turn into scrambled text inside an ATS.
Padding with hobbies, declarations, and date-and-signature blocks. That format is outdated and eats the space your projects need.
Writing responsibilities instead of results. 'Built a Flask app used by 200 classmates to track attendance' beats 'worked on a web development project'.
